Wrigley Building Lobby Renovation
The lobbies of this landmark skyscraper in Chicago had,
through the years, been compromised by intrusion of retail functions and
insensitive "modernizations" that were incompatible with the notable
exterior character of the building. The Wrigley Company's corporate
headquarters -- the major tenant of this building -- required a more
impressive lobby for their presence.
The reorganization of spaces, including the entry portal, main lobby, tenant
spaces and elevator lobbies, resulted in a coherent geometric concept.
Highlights of the design include increased natural light augmented with
sophisticated technical lighting, finite detailing of architectural elements
and materials to unify all design components, and a complete update of
mechanical systems.
