Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals non-compliance report

The Reese Medical Center constitutes 34 buildings requiring review of the Life Safety Standards to be in compliance for accreditation.

This evaluation required a complete on-site examination of every room: patient, laboratory, and ancillary rooms, including every corridor and stair hall and underground connecting tunnel.

Data compilation of each space required assessment of its usage, occupancy classification, wall and ceiling construction classification, door ratings and types of fire devices. This report assessed serious non-compliance.

David Zeunert & Associates was additionally requested by the Medical Center to prepare construction documents to implement the recommendations of this report.
